The Fifth International Conference e-Society.Mk on the topic “I Media” has been held. The two-day conference addressed the role of the new media in upholding the debate and dialog, participation and social change.

The first day was reserved for the speeches of several national and international experts in the field of technology, politics, journalism, blogging and social activism within 3 working sessions, each followed by an active discussion. Notes from the first day sessions can be found on IT.com.mk .

A round table was held during the second day of this year's event, focusing on the role and utilization of new media in the process of providing information, despite the dominance of traditional media in this field. After the two-hour discussion closed by the Minister of Information Society Mr. Ivo Ivanovski and Ms. Isabel Ginel, the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of France in Skopje, the conference was officially closed.
